Fly

Flipped her wings
The sky turned purple
A journey of her life
Her disbelief the only hurdle
She took the flight
World as usual talked

Storms welcomed
So did tumultuous sun
Called her with names
A disdained whore
A fleeting disgrace
She flew pretty
With blemished face

Her beak upright
With pride on its tip
Her wings flamboyant
Pushing the game
Her little claws
Firm as motives
Willed eyes
All as one

As she swung
Flipped and streamed
The little birds around
Bullied with hails and
Demeaning greys
Found a means
The hero within

Herds became a troop
The sky became birds
A world beneath looked
Sang in praise
Story of a bird that
Flew at odds
changed a course
